June 2025 libGDX 7 Day Game Jam Entry

Theme: Nature's Revenge/Boss Battle

*NOTE* Finally got around to updating the game, so now it's in a playable state. Actual enemies that attack and a proper boss.  *phew* 

Minus 50000 pts from the jam review please since I updated the game like 5 days after submission with basic gameplay that didn't exist previously.

Story:

Man has once again gone too far, creating Robotic Bees for harvesting honey. These robo bees are outcompeting and putting the lives of our bumbly little friends at risk. Even worse, they have contracted the wasps to help in the extermination process. Its up to you little Bee dude. Destroy the robo hives and the big bad boss hive which must contain some kind of blinking remote which is controlling all of these things.
Go and fulfill your destiny... or something!

Gameplay:

Camera is a bit wonky.

Movement: WASD or rebind it

You can sort of use a gamepad as well to play. This was added at the last minute.

Shoot: Space or rebind it.

Every time you destroy a hive it will drop a ball of pollen. Collect them to get increased firing rate and speed. But if you die everything resets.

Destroy all 8 hives to summon the boss.

5 lives, good luck.

There was no time to balance this, if you cant get to the boss just click the P key, and i think everything should be destroyed which will trigger the boss fight.
